Karla Williams Posiuniene

She co-wrote episode 5 of Season 8 on the hit ITV/PBS drama Grantchester (produced by Kudos) and was part of the writers’ room for the Hat Trick, Wonder Project, and Amazon Studio drama SPIRES. Her audio credits include the LAMDA x Audible Original drama Famous and Legacy, the scripted series produced by Wondery Media. She has developed audio dramas with Naked Productions, StoryGlass, Hat Trick, and Granny Eats Wolf.

Karla’s award-winning short film Pretty Bitch (based on the play of the same name) has screened internationally at festivals including the BFI Future Film Festival and the London Short Film Festival. She also wrote the LAMDA short film The New Girl. Two of her monologues are featured in the anthology Hear Me Now: Audition Monologues for Actors of Colour published by Oberon Books. Karla has also been longlisted for The Bruntwood Prize and The Alfred Fagon Award and her play Pretty Bitch has been performed at St James Theatre, Soho Theatre, and The Pleasance Theatre, Islington.

She founded MsMono in 2019.

Under her leadership, MsMono have produced multiple award-winning short films and narrative music videos that have screened internationally, including at London Short Film Festival, BFI Futures Festival, and Cinequest, with a title now streaming on Amazon Prime. MsMono is also the original production company behind Do Not Disturb, the ground-breaking Black British comedy/drama on Audible UK.

To date, the series has delivered 18 events, welcomed 850+ attendees, and featured more than 40 industry creatives who have worked for Netflix, Sky Arts, BBC, Disney+, Channel 4, Curtis Brown, ITV, Casarotto Ramsay, Kudos, Audible UK, and World Productions.
